Friendly wild dolphin at Sydney beach

Friendly dolphin makes an appearance on Sydney Beach

We love this photo of a Sydney teenager who had a close encounter with a wild dolphin at Clontarf beach (near the Spit Bridge). The friendly dolphin came up to him and they spent three hours swimming together, all captured on camera.

The dolphin is understood to be the solitary dolphin, which has been spotted around Pittwater and the northern beaches. Organisations such as Marine Mammal Research and ORRCA have been tracking the dolphin’s welfare. Anyone who sees the dolphin is asked to call MMR on 0431 465 073.
